Year 3 - Ducks and Otters

Spring term 2 2025

We hope you have all had a lovely break.  

English

In English this term we will be reading Charlotte's Web.

Maths

In Maths we are going to work on fractions, mass and capacity.

 

Curriculum:

History

We are studying the Ancient Greeks.

Computing

We will be learning about coding with Scratch.

Geography

We are not studying this subject this half term.

Religious Education

We are not studying this subject this half term.

Music

We will be studing music this term.

Science

We will be learning about plants.

P.E.

We will be swimming each Monday morning this term.

P.E. takes place for Ducks and Otters on Thursday.

Your child must come to school in correct P.E. kit on these days. Please see the school website for more information regarding the P.E. kit requirements. If your child has their ears pierced, they will be required to either take the earrings out, or cover them with tape, for the lesson. Please remember that Cooks Spinney only allows small stud earrings in school.

 

Art and Spanish will be taught by specialist teachers each week.

 

Homework

Children are expected to read to an adult, practise their tables on Times Tables Rockstars and learn their weekly spellings.  There will also be a termly project to complete.  Please check on Class Dojo for more details.
