Year 3 - Ducks and Otters
Summer Term 1, 2026
In English this half term, we will be reading The Magic Finger by Roald Dahl.
In Maths we will be focusing on fractions, money and time.
In Science we will be learning about animal and human diets.
In Spanish children will be learning about where we live.
In Music this half term, we will be learning to sing and play instruments using Essex school's Charanga programme of study.
In Art the children will be focusing on print making and will be studying Albrecht Durer and Andy Warhol.
In RE children will learn about Buddhism.
In Geography the focus is on Africa.
History will not be taught this term.
Computing will not be taught this term.
In PSHE, this half term, we will be learning about why we should eat well and look after our teeth.
Ducks class and Otters class will have PE on Wednesdays and Thursdays
