Physical Education

Children at Cooks Spinney are given lots of opportunities to participate in sports during and after school. Some of the sports activities that have taken place over the last year include; netball, rounders, cricket, tag rugby, football, athletics, dodgeball, swimming, gymnastics, hockey, table tennis, badminton, cross country, basketball and yoga.

Swimming
Swimming is taught to each class in Year 2 - 6 by specialist swimming instructors.
Cycle Proficiency
Pupils in Year 5 have the opportunity to gain their cycle proficiency Level One Award via the Bikeability programme free of charge. For more information regarding Bikeability please click HERE
School Games Mark
Cooks Spinney have achieved a 'Platinum School Games Mark' having achieved gold in the previous 4 years. The School Games Mark is a Government led award scheme launched in 2012 to reward schools for their commitment to the development of competition across their school and into the community.
