Getting to grips with history
Posted: 2nd March 2020Children have been getting to grips with history.
Year 3 pupils at Cooks Spinney Primary Academy worked with Gripping History to delve deeper into the Iron Age, Bronze Age and Stone Age.
They got to dress up and learn about the important dates on the timeline, the kind of clothes people wore in those times, how they built houses, the tools they used to grind grains into flour and how they hunted for food.
Teacher Hannah Cruse said: “Gripping History brought along all the artefacts and materials needed to ensure the children not only learnt a lot about prehistory, but were engaged and able to have a hands-on experience.
“The children thoroughly enjoyed it.”
